Mimi Leonard Makes Hall of Fame for Her Work in Career and Technical Education

LPS logo_500x500Mimi Leonard, Coordinator for Career and Technical Education (CTE) at Littleton Public Schools, was one of three people recently inducted into the Colorado Association of Career and Technical Education (CACTE) Hall of Fame. CACTE recognizes individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the field as teachers and administrators.

Leonard has served in her current role as LPS’ CTE coordinator for 10 years and was an LPS teacher for the 20 years prior to that. Throughout those 20 years, she taught special education and career and technical education at Heritage High School and Options Secondary Program. Leonard is the incoming President of the Colorado Association of Career and Technical Administrators (CACTA), the Administrative Division within CACTE. She serves on the national board of the Technology Student Association (TSA) and is actively involved at the state level and serves on numerous state-level committees. Leonard also finds time to teach CTE credentialing classes through Arapahoe Community College and CTE Administrator classes through Colorado State University.

Throughout her time with Littleton Public Schools, Leonard has been a driving force in preparing students for postsecondary success and continues to play an impactful role at the state and national level in Career and Technical Education.
