Beginning next fall, eighth graders who are ready for high school level instruction can get a jump-start on their high school experience. The Early High School @ Littleton High program is designed for eighth grade students who excel in the arts, technical fields, math or sciences.
Eighth graders who are ready both socially and academically for a greater challenge will have the opportunity to take a combination of eighth grade and high school classes, take academic prerequisites earlier and make room for more International Baccalaureate (IB), Advanced Placement (AP), concurrent courses and Career/Technical Education courses. It is not designed to graduate students early, rather, it is intended to give students with the interest and ability the opportunity to explore additional pathways to their futures. Early High School @ Littleton High opens in the fall of 2017, and now is the time for interested seventh graders to apply!
A unique experience for eighth graders
Eighth graders will take classes alongside Littleton High School students but will convene for a daily Humanities block consisting of the state-required language arts and social studies curricula. Eighth graders will have a sequestered, closed-campus lunch for additional support and socializing. They can participate in school clubs and activities, but not athletics sponsored by the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA).

- Current seventh graders and their parents are invited to sign up online to attend information meetings scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 7-8 p.m.and Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 8-9 a.m. at Littleton High School.
- Applications will be available online beginning Oct. 26. Admissions decisions will be made in December for students who are identified as both socially and academically prepared for the rigor of high school.
- Early High School is open to in-district and out-of-district students!
